Sports Illustrated
Shaping the Digital Experience for a Landmark Sports Event
Overview
The Challenge:
Sports Illustrated was preparing for its 70th anniversary Sportsperson of the Year Awards, an iconic event honoring athletic excellence, community impact, and innovation. Held at Wynn Las Vegas and hosted by Keegan-Michael Key, the ceremony needed a bold, cohesive digital identity that could carry across every screen, in sync with both the prestige of the moment and the high-tech energy of CES.
Our Approach:
We led the charge on branding, content strategy, and creative direction, crafting a dynamic digital experience that elevated storytelling and engagement throughout the event. Our work spanned:
- Brand system development
- Motion and experiential design
- Content and visual strategy
- Full video production
We built out a suite of high-impact assets, including title graphics, lower thirds, event visuals, and screen content, ensuring every element felt unified and premium.
Key Deliverables:
- Title graphics
- Lower thirds
- Brand system
- Event visuals
- Video production
The Impact:
The result was a seamless, visually compelling experience that tied together live production, digital screens, and brand storytelling. Our creative work amplified key moments, like Simone Biles being honored as Sportsperson of the Year, and supported additional awards including the Muhammad Ali Legacy Award and the inaugural Innovator of the Year Award.
